N. is my youngest child. At about 15 years old in this image, it captures an enigmatic and whimsical nature. The strips are cut or torn. Although the square structure reminds me of a digital image, the raw edges gives it an organic feel. I like the fact that it's all made of cotton fabrics and threads because it will eventually disintegrate. It is finite just like ourselves.
